Electrology Licensing Program for North Carolina
The "Tar Heel" state of North Carolina regulates the practice of electrology through licensing and so it is what we refer to as a licensed state. If you are interested in becoming a licensed electrologist in North Carolina, the state requires that electrology students complete 600 hours of training in a North Carolina based school. Presently we do not know of any electrology schools in North Carolina. Alternatively, North Carolina residents are allowed to attend out of state schools that have obtained North Carolina school certification, a process that is both costly and requires annual re-certification. At this time, our school does not maintain certification in North Carolina. If you reside near a state border and find it's convenient to practice in a neighboring state, or, if you are planning to move to another licensed or non-licensed state, call our Director Ron Davis for more training options. AIE's toll free line is 888-844-4247.
