Electrology Licensing Program for Maryland

In the "Old Line" state of Maryland, the Board of Nursing regulates the practice of electrology through licensing. This means that Maryland is what we refer to as a licensed state. Like many other licensed states, the state of Maryland requires that electrology students complete 600 hours of training before being allowed to sit for the state electrology licensing exam and becoming legally allowed to work as an electrologist in Maryland. If you're interested in becoming an electrologist in Maryland, AIE offers you the best way to start your new career.

Our 600 hour licensing program for Maryland is delivered in two modules. To make studying as easy as possible, the entire theory module can be completed online. This module totals 200 hours. The hands-on practical training is done in-school and this represents 400 hours of the MD curriculum. To make your studying as convenience as possible, both theory and practical training modules may be taken separately or together.

Like all AIE programs, this 600 hour licensing program is offered on an open-enrollment basis, so you may start any day you wish and you can complete your training on a flexible schedule. This flexibility means that you may complete your training in as little as 4 months or take as long as 24 months. The flexibility of our programs makes the choice all yours! We're dedicated to making it as easy as possible to become a licensed electrologist in the state of Maryland. As an AIE graduate, after passing the state exam you'll have the credibility that automatically comes with the professional designation, "Licensed Electrologist," and be all set to start your exciting new career. Maryland has a state electrology association known as Maryland Association of Professional Electrologists, which you are encouraged to join once you graduate from AIE and become licensed in Maryland.

Testimonials

AIE creates success from start to finish. The program is excellent, and I was able to attend school while working a part-time job. The schools success rate for passing the CA State Electrology Exam is unparalleled. In addition, they have been there for me to this day, years after graduating. I now have a successful business with other electrologists working for me! I highly recommend AIE.
