Tuition Loans Can Help Finance an Education in Electrology

If you have decided it's time to take the plunge and better yourself by getting certified as an Electrologist, the next step is figuring out how you'll finance it. At AIE we have in-school interest-free financing options for you. Whether you need an interest-free loan to cover tuition or assistance with purchasing your Electrology equipment, we can help.

Tuition Loans: Assistance with Paying for Your Education and Training

The primary expense that most students need help with is tuition. Here at American Institute of Education we offer students the opportunity to use one of two tuition payment plans.

Tuition: Tuition Prime allows students to pay for tuition, interest free, in monthly installments. At the end of the program you have paid your tuition in full, and you can go out and begin your career in Electrology unhindered by student loan payments. What's more, if you are enrolled in the Tuition Prime program and your schedule changes, you can adjust your payments. This degree of payment flexibility matched to one's enrollment timeline is rarely found in Electrology schools throughout the country.

Tuition Prime provides you with the flexibility to pay your tuition as you go. Perhaps best of all, this program is available to all students, regardless of the status of their credit history.

Consumer Loans: Other Options. Of course, depending on your circumstance, you might find that other loans are a good fit for you, ones that come from banks and credit unions. You can usually shop for terms such as the duration of the loan, the interest rate, and the size of your monthly payments. Banks are credit-based lenders who view things like your assets, your FICO score and your monthly payment obligations. Traditional consumer loans can give you the flexibility to use the money where and when you need it.

Personal Loans: These are often unsecured loans and can come from family and friends. To understand what this means, you first have to know how a secured loan works. A secured loan, typically from a bank, is one in which the lending institution gains an interest in your property in order to ensure repayment. In an extreme example, if you don't repay, the lender may seize your property and sell it in order to get the money back. Examples of secured loans are loans to purchase a house or a car.

Because personal loans from say a family member are usually unsecured loans, the person lending may charge interest that could be slightly higher than with a bank's secured loan. If you don't have good credit—or if you are young and have never taken out a loan so you don't have a credit rating—you can still sometimes get a better rate (or no interest at all) by working with family and friends.

Alternatively, if borrowing directly from family is awkward and you feel that it may not be the best way to go, a family member with good credit and equity can work with you and a lending institution and co-sign your personal loan with you thereby saving you some interest points at a bank or other traditional lender.

Equipment Loans: The Funding You Want to Obtain the Equipment You Need

A career in Electrology can be rewarding and fulfilling. However, there are some vital things you'll need in order to succeed, like equipment.

A basic epilator setup can cost a few thousand dollars. If you don't have the necessary capital or credit to pay in full, one of our suppliers, Silhouet-Tone, an international manufacturer of epilators and Electrology equipment, will allow AIE students to finance the purchase of an epilator and treatment room equipment in the following way. Put 40% down and pay the remaining 60% over 6 months, interest free. Along with your epilator, you can bundle in one of their superior treatment beds, a cart for your machine and an ergonomic clinic chair.

Electrolysis Reimagined

Electrolysis machinery

For many years those of us associated with electrolysis understood that epilators operated at a frequency of 13.5 megahertz. About twelve years ago Dectro International introduced its Platinum line of epilators that operate at 27 MHz. Our horizons were expanded. Their claim is that hair is permanently removed 25% faster and with a degree of comfort previously unheard of. So what are we to make of an epilator that operates at 6.68 MHz?
