Thank you for visiting our site. As an online consumer myself, I've frequently wished that websites would just cut to the chase, so that's what I've done for you.
The following bullet points answer questions that I'm asked daily. In short, this is what you really need to know about completing an Electrology program that will lead to the professional designation of "Licensed Electrologist".
Now, if you are new to Electrology as a method of permanent hair removal and would like to learn why it's the only FDA approved method of permanent hair removal, call me. My number is 888-844-4247. For those of you who live in different time zones, we can make arrangements to speak after-hours as needed.
I take your decision to change careers seriously so I'll answer your questions without a sales spin. I've found that a simple presentation of our Features and Benefits works to everyone's benefit. Though this list will answer the most important questions, I know that I can't anticipate your thought process so call me if you need further clarification. I'm always pleased to hear from you.
If you have decided it's time to take the plunge and better yourself by getting certified as an Electrologist, the next step is figuring out how you'll finance it. At AIE we have in-school interest-free financing options for you. Whether you need an interest-free loan to cover tuition or assistance with purchasing your Electrology equipment, we can help.
The primary expense that most students need help with is tuition. Here at American Institute of Education we offer students the opportunity to use one of two tuition payment plans.
Tuition Prime: Pay as You Go. Tuition Prime allows students to pay for tuition, interest free, in monthly installments. At the end of the program you have paid your tuition in full, and you can go out and begin your career in Electrology unhindered by student loan payments. What's more, if you are enrolled in the Tuition Prime program and your schedule changes, you can adjust your payments. This degree of payment flexibility matched to one's enrollment timeline is rarely found in Electrology schools throughout the country.
Tuition Prime provides you with the flexibility to pay your tuition as you go. Perhaps best of all, this program is available to all students, regardless of the status of their credit history.
Tuition Plus: If you are interested in financing your education through AIE, but you just can't make the payments necessary for Tuition Prime, we have another great option for you; Tuition Plus. The Tuition Plus program allows you to extend your tuition payments for up to 4 months beyond your graduation date. This allows you to put energy into getting your training rather than worrying about payments. Your monthly payments are established upon enrolling, allowing you to pay at a predetermined monthly rate, that is less than paying directly through our Tuition Prime program.
Consumer Loans: Other Options. Of course, depending on your circumstance, you might find that other loans are a good fit for you, ones that come from banks and credit unions. You can usually shop for terms such as the duration of the loan, the interest rate, and the size of your monthly payments. Banks are credit-based lenders who view things like your assets, your FICO score and your monthly payment obligations. Traditional consumer loans can give you the flexibility to use the money where and when you need it.
Personal Loans: These are often unsecured loans and can come from family and friends. To understand what this means, you first have to know how a secured loan works. A secured loan, typically from a bank, is one in which the lending institution gains an interest in your property in order to ensure repayment. In an extreme example, if you don't repay, the lender may seize your property and sell it in order to get the money back. Examples of secured loans are loans to purchase a house or a car.
Because personal loans from say a family member are usually unsecured loans, the person lending may charge interest that could be slightly higher than with a bank's secured loan. If you don't have good credit—or if you are young and have never taken out a loan so you don't have a credit rating—you can still sometimes get a better rate (or no interest at all) by working with family and friends.
Alternatively, if borrowing directly from family is awkward and you feel that it may not be the best way to go, a family member with good credit and equity can work with you and a lending institution and co-sign your personal loan with you thereby saving you some interest points at a bank or other traditional lender.
A career in Electrology can be rewarding and fulfilling. However, there are some vital things you'll need in order to succeed, like equipment.
A basic epilator setup can cost a few thousand dollars. If you don't have the necessary capital or credit to pay in full, one of our suppliers, Silhouet-Tone, an international manufacturer of epilators and Electrology equipment, will allow AIE students to finance the purchase of an epilator and treatment room equipment in the following way. Put 40% down and pay the remaining 60% over 6 months, interest free. Along with your epilator, you can bundle in one of their superior treatment beds, a cart for your machine and an ergonomic clinic chair.
As you know, the sooner you finish with your training and education in Electrology, the faster you will begin your exciting new career. So, educate yourself, review your options, then select the funding program that is best for you. Have questions? We have answers. Text your questions to school Direct, Ron Davis at 310-754-6920.

For many years those of us associated with electrolysis understood that epilators operated at a frequency of 13.5 megahertz. About twelve years ago Dectro International introduced its Platinum line of epilators that operate at 27 MHz. Our horizons were expanded. Their claim is that hair is permanently removed 25% faster and with a degree of comfort previously unheard of. So what are we to make of an epilator that operates at 6.68 MHz?
At the American Institute of Education, we let our electrolysis graduates speak for us! Our state-of-the-art training leads to exciting, financially rewarding careers. Our graduates are some of the most sought after electrologists in the market.
I really loved school at American Institute of Education and I selected it because I heard it was the best program. The experience was amazing even from the first phone call with Ron where tuition, scholarships, program hours flexibility, online access, and timely information is all top notch. The curriculum is national standard and includes all the latest and greatest topics that are hot in the industry.
