Electrology Licensing Program for Connecticut

The great state of Connecticut regulates its electrologists through their State Board of Electrologists, which is a subset of the Department of Public Health. A licensing exam must be taken and to come properly prepared, applicants must complete 600 hours of training in a state approved school.

At the present time we do not know of any electrology schools in Connecticut however, AIE's 600 hour licensing program meets Connecticut's training requirements. This program is delivered in two modules, theory and practical.

The theory module can be completed online and constitutes 45% of the curriculum or 272 hours, while the hands-on practical training is done in-school and is 55% of the curriculum or 328 hours. To help you study at your own pace, the theory and practical training modules may be taken separately or together.

Our 600 Hour Licensing Program

At AIE we offer the 600 hour Connecticut licensing program on an open-enrollment basis. You can start any day you wish and it's possible to complete your training on a flexible schedule. This means that training can take as little as 4 months, full time, or you can take up to 12 months to finish. The flexibility of our delivery system makes the choice all yours! After passing the state exam, you'll have the credibility that automatically comes with the professional designation, Licensed Electrologist.

Their claim is that hair is permanently removed 25% faster and with a degree of comfort previously unheard of. So what are we to make of an epilator that operates at 6.68 MHz?
